Welcome to the Clan page

We are starting a clan feature for the site. Whether you play World War, iMobsters, Mafia War, etc. you can start a clan or join an existing clan. If you are already part of a clan or are looking to start or join one, we want your input.

We are just getting started, but here are our ideas...
  • Create a clan recruitment and discussion board and let players create their own clans (started)
  • Clan Leaders could invite others or people could request to join their clan. The clan leader could give other clan members the ability to accept people into their clan
  • A message board just for your clan that only your clan members can see
  • Clans could have their own logo(coat of arms) on the site so people can tell at a glance if and what clan they are in
  • You can only belong to one clan for each game. For example, you can be in a World War Clan, a iMobsters Clan, and a Mafia Wars Clan but you can't be in two World War Clans or two Mafia Wars Clans with the same account.
  • Would be nice to have a ranking of the clans. We can start with member counts. I don't think we could rank effectiveness

2011-08-31 15:04:49 spike   URConfused, unfortunately we haven't had time to finish this area of the site.  Since it is not in the main forums section, I wasn't too worried about how they promoted themselves as long as they weren't spamming.  With the new forums, there will be a separate thread area for Clans for each of the games, so if someone is recruiting for World War, they can go to the World War Clan section and create a new thread or post.

We still want to give clans their own private forum here, which would also include their own chat room, but alas, there is only so much time in the day.  If I just didn't have this annoying full time job.   :-)

2011-01-27 11:50:39 spike   Just a heads up, we cannot allow duplicate clan names, so if you already have a clan and are considering using our site to help manage, recruit, etc. please either post the name here or email us.  When we allow clan creation, in the next few days, it will be first come first serve, unless you notify us ahead of time. 

Also, initially the person who creates the clan will be the only one able to accept new member requests and boot members out.  We can switch it ourselves upon request, but just want everyone to be aware how the natural flow will be at the start.

2011-01-26 15:43:06 spike   Yes, the message board works...still need to get the rest of the functionality working but also want to gauge the interest.  I know a lot of people have looked at the page, but maybe they aren't using it because it isn't complete?

If you have a clan already, are interested in creating one or joining one, please start posting here that way others will know and hopefully encourage others to communicate.  The functionality will be done in a few days.
